The American College of Physicians (ACP) states the challenges women face in the American health care system throughout their lives. Sexual and sexual health problems; differences in health outcomes compared to men; underrepresentation in scientific research; Public policies affecting women, their families and society.  The ACP makes several recommendations aimed at policies that improve women's health and provide a health care system that supports the needs of women and their families throughout their life.
